The aim of this study was to investigation of injury variances and reasons of Traditional Turkish Folk Dancers. Totally three hundred sixty dancers who were 180 male and 180 female, participated in the study. The all subjects were elite dancer and were dance in Karşılama, Zeybek, Kaşık, Horon, " ar, and Halay regions. The survey form used for determining injury regions, variances and reasons. Obtained data were analyzed from frequencies and percentages. As a result, some internal and external factors that are effective in injuries reveal that the trainers should be in a more systematic approach under the training light. According to obtained data, it is observed that there is a wide range of injury risk to unsystematic loading and rest periods from pre-warming and cooling. In this sense, applying the training principles correctly will prevent the injuries of the players with a great extent. Nonetheless, the treatment process of injuries is also important in term of returning to the exercise on time. It is also one of the important roles of the trainer to persuade the player to go to the physician's control after the injury, to provide physiological support during treatment process and to strengthen the injured region with exercises.

Injuries Among Italian DanceSport Athletes: A Questionnaire Survey2016 •
During training and competition, athletic dancers perform complex artistic movements that can lead to stress on the musculoskeletal system, making them subject to high risk of injury. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the prevalence, location, and nature of musculoskeletal injuries among dancesport athletes and to identify potential risk factors for injury. This cross-sectional study was performed at several national dancesport meetings in Italy. All 168 dancesport athletes who participated at the meetings were invited to complete a questionnaire related to injuries they may have suffered during the previous year; other information collected included demographic data (age, sex, height, weight), dance participation (discipline, categories), training (training duration, years since starting to dance), and injury (location, etiology). Injuries Requiring Surgery in Folk Dancers: A Retrospective Cohort Study of 9 YearsThe purpose of the present study was to record lower limb injury frequencies in young Greek Traditional Dancers. Lower limb injury incidents were recorded using question- naires in a total of 432 students (145 males and 287 females) with mean age 13,0±2,2 years were followed for a 6 month period. The results showed that only 2,8% of the sample had an injury related to traditional dancing (p < 0.05). All injuries in boys oc- curred at the ankle joint while girls displayed injuries at the ankle and the knee (p< 0.05). However, non-statistically significant difference was observed in the location of injury between two genders (p >0.05). In conclusion, a very small percentage of injuries was observed in students of elementary, secondary and high school who perform Greek Traditional Dances. Therefore, participation of young children to Greek traditional danc- ing is highly recommended.
The aim of this study was to compare Turkish folk dancers with sedentary people in terms of some physical fitness parameters. 12 women and 14 men from Turkish folk dances team, which took part in a contest in 2013 and 12 sedentary women and 14 sedentary men from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, totally 52 volunteers, participated in this study. Height, weight, strength, flexibility, vertical jump and anaerobic power of subjects were measured with measuring tools. Descriptive and Mann-Whitney U tests in SPSS 16.0 were used to analyze data. When physical fitness parameters of men Turkish folk dances athletes and sedentary men were compared, while statistically significant difference was found between the right-hand grip strength, the left-hand grip strength and vertical jump (p<0.05), there was no statistical difference found between other variables (p>0.05). When physical fitness parameters of women Turkish folk dances athletes and sedentary women were compared, while statistically significant difference was found between the right-hand grip strength, the left-hand grip strength, vertical jump and anaerobic power (p<0.05), there was no statistical difference found between other variables (p>0.05). Consequently, it was found that the right and left handgrip strength and vertical jump values of women and men Turkish folk dances athletes were higher than sedentary. It can be said that these differences result from that they usually do exercises for development of these parameters because of the nature of this sport branch.

A Retrospective Investigation on Age and Gender Differences of Injuries in DanceSport2019 •
In spite of the extensive research on incidence site and type of injury in ballet and modern dancers, limited studies on injury in DanceSport have been reported. Therefore, this study determined retrospectively (within last 12 months) incidence, severity, site and type of injury, between gender and age-class in DanceSport. Participants were 97 international sport-dancers (female, 41; male, 56). Sixty-six (69%) dancers reported 96 injuries (1.00 (range = 4)) injuries per dancer) and an injury incidence of 1.7 (range = 14) per 1000 h. Females revealed significantly higher median injury incidence (females, 2.6 (range = 14); males, 1.9 (range = 9), p < 0.05) than males. A total of 61.5% of all injuries recorded were traumatic with a significant gender difference (Wald chi-square = 11.616, df = 1, p < 0.01). Injury severity was 3 (range 240) days with an interaction effect between gender and age-class (Wald chi-square = 251.374, df = 3, p < 0.001). Meanwhile, 72.3% of the dancer...
