The purpose of this study was to set forth the relationship between the individuals’ states to adopt social networks and social intelligence and analyze both concepts according to various variables. Research data were collected from 1145 social network users in the online media by using the Adoption of Social Network Scale and Social Intelligence Scale during the summer, 2015. Status of the participants to adopt social networks was medium, and their social intelligence states were at a high level. There was no relationship between the adoption of social networks and social intelligence states and the gender of the participants. Adoption of social networks and social intelligence levels of university graduates were significantly higher than primary school graduates. Social information process and social skill sub-dimensions located in the Social Intelligence Scale has a significant positive correlation with all sub-dimensions except social impact sub-dimension of Social Networks Adoption Scale (usefulness, ease of use, facilitating conditions, community identity). There is a significant positive relationship between the social network adoption levels of individuals and the level of social intelligence. Social intelligence in general, can explain the 2.25% of social network adoption situation.

Social Intelligence of Higher Secondary School Students with Reference to Their SNS UsageThis study aimed to investigate Jordanian university students' use of Facebook and their perceptions of their social intelligence as well as the relationship between students' use of Facebook and a self reported measure of their social intelligence. The participants in this study were 282 students from different colleges in a Jordanian public university. For the purpose of the study, the researchers used cross-sectional survey design in which a questionnaire was administrated and collected in-class by number of faculty members, who agreed to have their classes participating in this study. The questionnaire aimed to collect regarding student use of Facebook as well as the perceptions of their social intelligence. The analysis of the collected data showed that the majority of the students are active Facebook users. Participants' perceptions of their level of social intelligence were positive and at moderate level. The findings showed significant association between Facebook use and perceived level of social intelligence among Jordanian university students. The current study disagreed with the common negative reputation, in Arab World, of the effect of Facebook on students' social life. The current research study showed that the use of Facebook might benefit students' social competencies and intelligence, through providing them with electronic platform that they can use to freely express themselves.
The purpose of this study is to validate the English version of the Social Networks Adoption Scale developed by Usluel and Mazman (2009). The original scale consists of 21 items and 5 factors that include usefulness, ease of use, social effect, facilitating conditions and community identity. An online sample of 109 Facebook users completed an internet version of the translated the scale from the USA, Germany, Turkey, and Canada. For the scale’s structural validity, first and second order confirmatory factor analysis was conducted. Cronbach’s Alpha coefficients (0.90) and item total correlations were calculated to investigate reliability of the scale. Through validity study it was proven that English version of the scale was consisted of five factors. But as a result of the second order confirmatory factor analysis, correlation between social influence variable and adoption variable was found to be insignificant. Therefore, two items included in the social influence factor were extracted from scale. The results indicated that the English version of the Social Networks Adoption Scale consisting of 19 items and 5 factors provided valid and reliable measures of social networks adoption. The Social Networks Adoption Scale can provide an insight to educators about the adoption process of international students from different cultures who seek to use Facebook for educational purposes.
Social network sites extend collaboration to users around the world. Also, create opportunity to the student users. Sometimes, social media makes students-users popular and expressive by opening many social outlets, at times escapism, loneliness, and social issues. Therefore, the objective of the study aims at probing adoption level, usage level, friends' level, and purpose of use of social network sites among student users of pre-university colleges from the geographical region, Bangalore Urban. The knowledge might helpful to the concerning specialists. To collect data, appropriate standardized SNS scale sought and adopted. Besides, random proportionate sampling technique with the descriptive method was used for the study. Also, empirical survey study of 700 college students at 30 pre-university colleges were chosen from the sampling frame, the percentage statistical analysis shows high rate of adoption, moderate level of usage, and low level of intensity among the categories of student users.

THE IMPACT OF SOCIAL MEDIA CONSUMPTION ON CULTURAL INTELLIGENCE OF USER2020 •
With the digitalization and relocation of almost all human communications to the online sphere, social networks have gained great importance and room for maneuver for influence in the domain of lifelong learning. Enabling the rapid sharing of a large amount of information, ideas, but also content in general, has an impact on every user of these networks. This paper aims to show the impact of social networks, that is, the consumption of social networks, on the cultural intelligence of the individual. The subject of this paper was to determine which digital competencies, defined by information constructs Knowledge and Skills, significantly determine the level of cultural intelligence of an individual during his lifelong education, formal and informal, and the primary goal was to create a new information construct. The research was conducted online, using a survey questionnaire containing original metrics of influencing factors on the basis of which the application of quantitative statistical methods designed a conceptual model, a description that can determine the impact of each information construct (Knowledge, Skills, Experience) on digital intelligence development and its impact on degree of cultural intelligence. In this sense, this paper represents a contribution to the field of communication and educational sciences and opens initiatives for further research related to the development of an original methodology for conceptualizing digital communication in the field of non-formal education.
With the rise of Facebook, Twitter, RenRen.com, Kaixin.com, and Pengyou.com et al., Social Network Service(SNS) has attracted more and more attention with the objective of social interaction and entertainment. This paper improves Heijden's model (2004), by adding the constructs such as para-social interaction and social influence, to investigate the effect of social interaction on the acceptance of SNS technology. SmartPLS has been utilized to conduct an empirical research based on 277 questionnaires collected from college students. The results indicate that social influence has a significant positive correlation with behavioral intention to be used and invited; so does structural embeddedness.
