The purpose of this study is the determination of the science teacher candidates’ views on electronic waste pollution. The participants of the study were determined with a purposive sample which enables researcher to choose the ones who are believed to find to solutions to the problems of the researcher. Total 144 high school students from different type school are participated to study during the 2016-2017 academic year. Data were collected open-ended questions which developed by the researchers. Students were answered the related seven open ended questions in almost one hour. The qualitative data obtained from the study were analyzed using a phenomenological method. According to results of the study, it was determined that students are not sufficiently knowledgeable about the electronic waste, sources of electronic waste, evaluating of electronic devices. It was recommended that teachers candidates need to be aware of this issue.
The study aims to examine primary school second level students' electronic waste awareness and environmental attitudes. A total of 250 students attending primary schools in Kahramanmaras province center in Turkey during 2011-2012 educational year participated in the study. The study that employed survey model utilized " Environmental Attitude Scale " and " Electronic Waste Awareness Survey ". Results of the study presented meaningful relationships between students' environmental attitudes and the type of school they attend to and parental income level while no meaningful relationships were found between environmental attitudes and variables of gender, grade and mother's or father's educational levels. Electronic waste survey results show that students have insufficient information or are misinformed about electronic wastes.
Paper presents the results of surveys about the relation of secondary school students to the environmental problems and waste separation. This survey was as a part of the campaign "Attention towards Environment" in the school year 2012-13 performed for the third time. The comparison of answers on questions for particular years was done as well as the statistical analysis of the data. By several questions statistically important differences have been observed. Some positive trends can be recognized. The degree of waste separation showed continuous increase in the period 2010-12. Students are also more and more aware of their own responsibility for regular waste treatment.

Ecoliteracy of Junior High School Students in Science Lesson on Environmental Pollution Theme2021 •
Chemistry can be used as a medium to integrate environmental issues, inculcate environmental awareness also as a platform to assess students’ knowledge and awareness on environment. This study is designed to fi nd out secondary school students’ knowledge and awareness on environmental issues. It employs a qualitative approach in which data are primarily gathered through observations and interviews. Observations of students’ attitudes were carried out in the classroom and laboratory while teaching and learning took place. As for the interviews, the process involved two different groups of samples namely students and chemistry teachers to support the data gathered through observations. Based on their green practices refl ected through their daily routines, the secondary school students were found to possess substantial knowledge on environmental issues and good attitudes towards the environment. However, they have moderate awareness on environmental issues examined through their knowledge and attitudes. It is recommended that chemistry teachers integrate environmental issues and promote environmental awareness as they teach any related chemistry topics given the significant role of knowledge integration in fostering environmental literacy among students.

Electronic waste awareness among students of engineering department2019 •
Purpose: Increased number of electronic equipment used as a result of technological developments in recent decades and their relatively short economic life has resulted in the addition of electronic waste (e-waste) concept in the environmental health issues. This study intended to evaluate the level of awareness on e-waste and environmental issues among engineering students, whose main line of work is technology.Materials and Methods: This is a cross sectional study conducted with first and final year students in the Departments of Food Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical-Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Engineering in Adnan Menderes University in the academic year of 2016-2017. Results: No statistically significant difference was observed for students' awareness about environmental issues and e-waste regulations between departments and whether they are in the first or the last year. However, a correlation was noted between two awareness types.C...

Awareness of Global Warming and E-waste Among School TeachersGlobal warming means average increase in the earth's temperature and is considered as a major health issue of the 21st century and E-waste is the issue of electronic garbage it's also harm of living animals. To find out the awareness and knowledge about global warming among the school teachers. To find out the awareness and knowledge about E-waste among the school teachers. Self-administered questionnaire was used to collect information from 500 randomly selected school teachers of three different medium. Statistical analyses were performed with the percentage of each question Ethical clearance, informed consent and assent were obtained. Problem to be the major health issue due to global warming. Less than half (45.75%) participants ranked pollution to be the major cause for global warming. Majority of the teachers (57.5%) were willing to walk or cycle instead of driving and only (12%) teachers were willing to plant trees for combating global warming. school teachers exhibited significant difference in respect of their awareness and knowledge towards global warming. Teachers' problem to be the major health. issue due to e-waste. Less than half (52.25%) participants ranked waste electronic materials to be the major cause for e-waste. Majority of the teachers (67%) were willing to reuse of electronic tools and only (14%) teachers were willing to destroy electronic materials. school teachers exhibited significant difference in respect of their awareness and knowledge towards e-waste. Periodic health education regarding global warming and e-waste is still needed to increase awareness and knowledge among the school teachers.
This study aims to examine and compare the 6th grade students' perceptions of environmental issues through different techniques. For this purpose, we have tried to establish the students' perceptions of environmental issues by studying the pictures they drew and the written texts they wrote. In this study, which we have conducted with 62 students in two different secondary schools in Duzce Central during the 1st semester of the 2014-2015 academic year, we have employed a phenomenological pattern. The obtained data have been analysed using a content analysis method. As a result of the study, the themes of air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, visual pollution, endangerment of species, noise pollution, natural disasters, biological pollution and radioactive pollution in the students' perceptions of environmental issues have been identified. When the themes of environmental problems, obtained through two different techniques, have been compared, it has been established that the number of themes expressed in the written texts are higher than the ones in the pictures.

A Study of Attitude and Awareness of Pupil Teachers towards Environmental Pollution2017 •
Teachers can play a significant role in making our environment pollution free by changing the attitude of students and society towards the environment. The pupil teachers are the prospective teachers of the nation. So it is the time for the great concern for protection and preservation of natural resources which can only be possible if we have a right type of attitude towards proper awareness in the related matters. Teachers can bring awareness and attitude which can be possible through environmental education. The goal of environmental education in schools and colleges is to acquaint and sensitize the students towards environmental problems and concerns, to inculcate in them healthy personal and social attitude and behaviour towards environment. Hence, it is necessary to know how far the Pupil Teachers are aware about environment and environmental problems. A pilot study was carried out selecting 120 pupil teachers studying in teacher education colleges located at Faridabad distric...
