PCPs (Distance Education)of   Bharathiar and other Universities. Also guided M. Ed & M.Phil scholars of a few Distance Education Institutions viz.Bharathiar, Alagappa, IGNOU Universities.   • Served as a Member in the Committee constituted to revise the text book for Non Major Elective II-General Awareness-Question Bank for UG candidates admitted during 2011-12 at Bharathiar University.

  • Best   Paper   Award:   Balasubramanian,   N.   and   Christopher   Babu,   T. “Effectiveness of Computer Assisted Instructional Strategies in Relation to Academic Achievement, Achievement Motivation & Anxiety and Scientific Attitude”, 5th National Conference on “Indian Approaches to Teacher Education” organized by Pondicherry Psychology Association, Pondicherry on 10th & 11th January, 2004.
  • Professor  A. Gnanam  Best  Teacher  Award  2006   awarded  by  the Pondicherry Psychology Association, Puducherry for  his  valuable service and contribution for the upliftment of Society and Educational Psychology.
  • Psychometric Educational Services Award by the GCC School of Creative Intelligence on Research Foundation Trust, Veppur-Arcot in January 2008 for valuable service and contribution s to the Human Resource Development.
  • The Rashtriya Vidya Saraswati Puraskar Award by the International Institute of Education & Management, New Delhi in June, 2009.

 

For Administrative contributions

  • Certificate on completion of 25 years of unblemished pensionable service on 25.11.2004 by Bharathiar University, Coimbatore along with a Kisan Vikas Patra for a face value of Rs.500/- in recognition of good service;
  • Citation Awarded as the Outsanding Aluminus of the Gobi Arts and Science College, Gobichettipalayam on 6th April, 2008.

 

Innovations in Teaching Techniques

  • Developed syllabus based computer software packages in teaching physics at Higher Sec. Level along with my research scholar who worked in this area;
  • Developed a testing software package in teaching and learning of physics at Std XII along with my research scholar who worked in this area;
  • Developed achievement tests in General English, English Pronunciation, Mathematics, Physics,  AIDS  awareness  and   Agriculture independently as well as along with my research scholars who worked in these areas;
  • Developed a number of Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) packages for teaching and learning of English as a second language through NCERT and UGC sponsored Major Research Projects;
  • Developed two Computerized Question Banks in English, one for the students of Std. VIII and the other for the students of Std. XI through NCERT and UGC sponsored Major Research Projects respectively.
