Description	Abstract	La présente étude intitulée « Matériel didactique et qualité de l’enseignement des sciences de la vie et de la terre au secondaire général au Tchad » a pour objectif de vérifier le lien de dépendance entre le matériel didactique et la qualité de l’enseignement des SVT dans les établissements d’enseignement secondaire général. Pour réalisation cette étude, nous avons émis l’hypothèse selon laquelle le matériel didactique utilisé par les enseignants influencent de façon significative la qualité d l’enseignement des SVT au secondaire. Pour vérifier cette hypothèse des questionnaires ont été administrés à 91 enseignants des SVT de 18 établissements secondaires issus de quatre provinces. L’analyse des données recueillies a été faite au moyen de la statistique descriptive. Les résultats obtenus montrent que les établissements du secondaire manquent de structures spécifiques pour l’enseignement des SVT avec pour conséquence, un enseignement trop théorique et inefficace. Cet enseignement pourrait être d’une très grande qualité, efficace et efficient si le matériel didactique est disponible dans tous les établissements d’enseignement secondaire et utilisé à bon escient. Il s’agit donc d’un défi à relever pour un enseignement de qualité de cette discipline. The present study entitled "Didactic material and quality of teaching of life and earth sciences in general secondary in Chad" aims to verify the link of dependence between teaching material and the quality of teaching of SVTs, in general, secondary education establishments. To carry out this study, we hypothesized that the teaching material used by teachers significantly influences the quality of teaching of SVTs in secondary school. To verify this hypothesis, questionnaires were administered to 91 teachers of SVTs from 18 secondary schools from four provinces. Analysis of the data collected was done using descriptive statistics. The results obtained show that secondary schools lack specific structures for the teaching of SVTs, resulting in teaching that is too theoretical and inefficient. This education could be of very high quality, effective and efficient if the teaching materials are available in all secondary schools and used wisely. This is therefore a challenge to be met for quality teaching of this discipline. Article visualizations:
