4. | Description | Abstract | The paper examined validity of educational research and evaluation in Nigeria. Research and evaluation studies are ongoing progress that process findings needed for National development. The extent to which the findings are generally accepted for use depends on the validity of the instruments used for data collection. Valid instruments are required for research and evaluation studies. The face, content, concurrent, construct and predictive value of the instruments determine the validity of research and evaluation results. The types of research and evaluation were discussed in relation to education. The uses and problems of educational research and evaluation in Nigeria were highlighted.
