VALEURS DE REFERENCE DES PARAMETRES ASSOCIES A LA REPONSE INFLAMMATOIRE CHEZ LES HANDBALLEURS DE L’ELITE AU BENIN / PARAMETER REFERENCE VALUES ASSOCIATED WITH THE INFLAMMATORY RESPONSE IN ELITE HANDBALLERS IN BENIN
Abstract
Contexte : Les valeurs de référence des paramètres associés à la réponse inflammatoire des handballeurs d’Afrique subsaharienne et même du monde sont rares. Objectif : Cette étude avait pour objectif de proposer les valeurs de référence des paramètres associés à la réponse inflammatoire pour les handballeurs de l’élite du Bénin. Méthode : Il s’agit d’une étude prospective, à visée normative, entreprise avec 46 handballeurs masculins, dont 24 seniors (26,4 ± 3,5 ans) et 22 juniors (19,3 ± 0,8 ans). La protéine C-réactive ultrasensible (CRPus), les interleukines Il-6, Il-10 et le tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) ont été déterminés au début (DPS), puis à la fin de la période de préparation de la saison sportive (FPS). Résultats : A la FPS, seul le taux de CRPus s’est accru chez les seniors, de sorte que la différence avec le taux enregistré chez les juniors était significative (p = 0,02). Dans l’échantillon total, la moyenne de l’IL-6 a baissé de 64,1% (p ˂ 0,001), tandis que celle de l’IL-10 s’est accrue de 195,2% (p ˂ 0,001) à la FPS. Les modifications du TNF-α n’ont pas été significatives (p > 0,05). Conclusion : Les charges associées aux séances d’entraînement préparatoires à la période de compétition ont modifié les valeurs des paramètres associés à la réponse inflammatoire, enregistrées à la fin de la période de transition. Ces résultats suggèrent de combiner les données des joueurs seniors et juniors collectées à la fin de la période de transition à celles de fin de préparation, de la saison sportive suivantes pour établir les valeurs de référence des paramètres étudiés, à l’usage de l’élite masculine du handball du Bénin.
