PROPUESTA MACROESTRUCTURAL DE SENTENCIAS JUDICIALES DIGITALES DE IRLANDA DEL NORTE EN ESTUDIOS UNIVERSITARIOS ESPECIALIZADOS / MACROSTRUCTURAL PROPOSAL OF DIGITAL COURT JUDGMENTS IN NORTHERN IRELAND FOR SPECIALIZED UNIVERSITY STUDIES

Abstract


Court judgments may be considered as one of the most important documents within the legal systems in the world. The aim of this research is to deepen into these court documents from the Northern Irish legal system, the least known of the three British legal systems, in order to make them more understandable to every university researcher. We have considered the macrostructural theory created by the linguist theorist Teun A. van Dijk in order to establish methodologically some patterns that would structure the Northern Ireland court judgments. Thanks to this study, we will summarise the most remarkable semantic features that structure internally a corpus of 25 digital court judgments from Northern Ireland in order to simplify their understanding in specialised university studies.

 

Las sentencias judiciales pueden considerarse como los documentos más importantes dentro del ámbito jurídico. El objetivo de la presente investigación es profundizar en dichos documentos provenientes del sistema judicial de Irlanda del Norte, el menos conocido de los tres sistemas que conforman el sistema judicial británico, con el fin de hacerlo más accessible a todo investigador universitario. Hemos tomado la teoría macroestructural de Teun A. van Dijk para establecer ciertos patrones metodológicos que estructuran las sentencias judiciales de Irlanda del Norte. Gracias a este estudio se realizará un resumen sobre los rasgos semánticos que estructuran de manera interna el corpus digital analizado de 25 sentencias judiciales de Irlanda del Norte para simplificarlas para su estudio en estudios universitarios especializados.
