SAPERE FARE CON LA LINGUA: LA COMPETENZA ORALE E L’INSEGNAMENTO DELLA LINGUA FRANCESE / KNOWING WITH LANGUAGE: ORAL COMPETENCE AND THE TEACHING OF THE FRENCH LANGUAGE

Abstract


La competenza orale gioca un ruolo di primo piano nell’ambito del processo formativo dei discenti. Obiettivo di questo articolo è quello di prendere in esame tale abilità, nel tentativo di individuare le componenti più idonee a favorire nello specifico l’apprendimento della Lingua Francese. A tale proposito vedremo come, per accrescere il senso di familiarità degli studenti nei confronti della lingua, sarà utile ricorrere con regolarità a determinate tipologie di attività, come ad esempio i “textes authentiques”, ovvero: articoli di giornali, annunci di vario genere, testi pubblicitari, e così via. Tale materiale permette di rappresentare meglio il quotidiano e crea inoltre una maggiore motivazione nel processo di apprendimento della lingua seconda.

The oral competence plays a fundamental role in the educational process. The main purpose of this research paper is to examine this ability, in order to reach communicative goals in teaching French as a Second Language. Will focus on how “authentic materials” - newspaper articles, radio and TV ads, movies, advertising texts, and so on - can make the learning process even more engaging, imaginative and motivating for students. They can be used as effective learning tools because they increase curiosity, interest and awareness and they also include terms and quotidian words that the learners would most probably be familiar with.
