Abstract

Njëra prej shumë sfidave me tё cilёn ballafaqohet shoqëria kosovare nё ndërtimin e shtetit tё mirëfilltë bashkëkohor ёshtё edhe zhvillimi i sistemit tё arsimit. Nё sistemin bashkëkohor me nxënësin nё qendër tё vëmendjes, përmirësimi i mënyrës sё mbajtjes sё orёs mësimore ёshtё domosdoshmëri. Kjo kumtesë ka për qëllim të ngrit vetëdijen pёr mësimdhënien qё i përgjigjet nevojave tё avancuara tё nxënësve nё regjion. Kësodore shpresojmë se kumtesa jonё do tё jap kontributin nё arritjen e synimeve tё shoqёrisё kosovare pёr aftësimin e mёsimdhёnёsve dhe ngritjen e cilësisë sё mësimdhënies nё Kosovё. Përqendrimi ynё nё kёtё kumtesë drejton vëmendjen e mёsimdhёnёsve nё orёt e ushtrimeve nё klasё. Studimi ynё e trajton mënyrën alternative pёr kёtё orё mёsimore pёrmes lojёs. Pёrfshirja e llojeve tё ndryshme tё lojёs nё arsim e sidomos nё mёsimin e gjuhёve tё huaja ёshtё shumё e pёrhapur nё botёn moderne dhe ёshtё metodё e testuar e thyerjes sё monotonisё shkollore dhe andaj tё ngritjes sё shkallёs sё nxënies. Pёr paraqitje sa mё tё pastёr, hulumtimin tonё e kemi ndarë nё tri pjesё:

  1. Mёnyra e prezantimit tё lojёs dhe dhënia e udhëzimeve;
  2. Reagimet e nxënësve ndaj lojёs si pjesё e mёsimit;

This study aims to tackle the challenge of using games to boost motivation in ELT classrooms in southern region of Kosova and offer alternatives for practice classes. Data was collected during the teaching practice period of the English Department of University of Prizren in winter semester of 2011/2012 academic year whereby kinesthetic games were used in the total of 35 classes in lower secondary grades from fifth through ninth grades. Data was analysed using frequency count and percentage distribution. Findings of the study identified three main reactions to games: surprise, curiosity and happiness of which surprise was seen in 14% of cases, curiosity was identified in 88% classes and in over 90% of cases schoolchildren showed happiness in playing the game and learning alongside it.
