CONOCIMIENTO MATEMÁTICO Y SU PAPEL EN LA ENSEÑANZA / MATHEMATICAL KNOWLEDGE AND ITS ROLE IN TEACHING THAT INVOLVES WORK IN PRIMARY
Abstract
This work is based on the mathematical (ability) and sensitivity of teachers who teach classes in official schools of Panama at primary level. It seeks to identify the lack of interest in mathematics in Panamanian youth, based on a sample of 200 teachers. This research has three areas of great relevance, mainly in the educational as they are: behavioral, affective and cognitive; Which will be based on two tests, one of them will work on the part of the knowledge of teachers and this is where there is a big difference, since we can see from two perspectives the reality. We will also identify some of the most important flaws that lead us to the possible answer of the problem; Which leads us to contemplate that it is necessary to verify the conditions in which teachers are teaching classes in Panama and more at such an elementary level of the life of children, as it is in a knowledge base stage of our children, since to less sensitivity less mathematical competence of the teacher.
